ONGC Videsh Celebrated National Safety Day/Week Campaign from 4thto 10thMarch 2023 for imbibing safety culture and renewing the commitment of employees and contractual personnel for developing a safer workplace. Theme of National Safety Day/ Week-2023 was ‘Our Aim – Zero Harm’.
The weeklong campaign started on 4th March 2023 with administration of Safety Pledge by ONGC Videsh employees. Director (Exp.) – I/C HSE Mr. Sanjeev Tokhi administered Safety Pledge to ONGC Videsh employeesin Hindiwhereas Director (Operations) Mr. O N Gyani administeredthe same inEnglish.
Talk on Safety Management in Oil & Gas Industry was delivered by Chief Risk Officer, ONGC Mr. Amit kumar. Health talk by Dr. Samir Dwivedi, medical professional from M/s International SOS was organized for ONGC Videsh employees on topic “Age is just a number”.
National Safety Week campaign celebration included issuing of safety alerts to employees on regular basis for spreading safety awareness. A Fire safety training session was organized for employees and contractual employees.
Various competitions like safety slogans (both Hindi and English), safety poster by employees & their families and on-spot quiz contest for employees at HQ were organized. Online safety quiz for all ONGC Videsh employees was also conducted. On spot quiz competition was participated by employees with enthusiasm.
Director (Operations) Mr. ON Gyani along with Director (Finance) Mr. Anupam Agrawal presided over the valedictory function on 10th March 2023 at ONGC Videsh HQ office in New Delhi. Prizes were distributed to winners of different competitions and a strong message for encouragement for larger participation was spread by presenting consolation prizes to other enthusiastic participants.
Director (Operations) Mr. ON Gyani, in his concluding remarks, stressed the importance of safety at our workplace and daily life. He emphasized on safe practices to be adopted for eliminating accident and harm to our employees &society at large.
Director (Finance) Mr. Anupam Agrawal, in his concluding remarks, stressed the need for being always alert and safety conscious to achieve our aim of Zero Harm and appreciated the efforts of HSE Team for organizing the National Safety Week program.
Head HSE Rajiv Nayar expressed his gratitude to Director (Operations) Mr. ON Gyani and Director (Finance) Mr. Anupam Agrawalfor their guidance & support, and sincerely thanked all ONGC Videsh employees and their family members for their participation in National Safety Week campaign.
